Information on class types:

Private Weekly classes:

Weekly Private Classes are customized to meet the interests, and needs of all learning types regardless of skill levels or age. Lessons provide university standers in fine art skill practice, education, and art history. Students will cover each of the 7 elements of art and principles of design while creating multiple works of art they’re excited about. Classes can be focused in one specific area of art, such as just Drawing, or they can span a breath of art practices and medias. My goal is to create a personalized art path for each of my uniquely creative students whether they're a beginner or advanced in their art practice.

As a teacher I aim to ignite my students interests in art by combining their current passions with the practices of fine art foundations. Students will follow a customized learning path that addresses their individual needs as an artist and student, while making their own thematic and media choices (within reason;). Over the years I have found students that genuinely enjoy their art education and contribute in its direction not only excel more effortlessly in their skill building and confidence as an artist, but they also have a much more fertile environment to develop their passions and find their place in the art world.

Art media choices offered: Drawing, Painting, Ceramics, Sculpture, Printmaking, Street Art, Book Binding, Fibers, Mixed Media, Typography, Design, Mural Creation, Resin, and most anything you can come up with. Standard art supplies are provided but any exceptional supplies could accuse a fee but will be dicussed prior to purchase. I am always open to special requests and accommodations no matter the challenge, let get creative!

  4. I have the right to refuse service to anyone. Please know that I do not accept everyone as a student. Our personalities will need to be compatible and we must have a similar understanding of goals and expectations. Focus is a big factor for acceptance. If the student has trouble maintaining focus for 30- 60 mins, then perhaps, the time may not be right for them. Learning takes courage and drive.

  5. If they’re are any physical or emotional issues, such as self-confidence, depression, ADD, OCD, or neurodiversity, that may hinder you or your student in realizing your art goals please share them with me if you feel comfortable, it helps me teach each individual the best way they learn. Please also let me know if you or your student have any dangerous allergies so I can be sure to keep everyone safe.

If you are going out of town during a scheduled school break please let me know at the begging of the month when we discuss scheduling. We can work together, ahead of time, to reschedule the classes that will be missed.

Communication:

Is KEY! My customized lessons are very individual and unique, requiring student communication and full participation. If you are a parent of a student I require we communicate regularly about what your student is working on and their progress. This can be as causal as a quick follow up chat following class or you can reach out to schedule a time we can chat about your students progress and education moving forward. If you have a specific idea on your students learning path, please share this with me in full so we can form a plan together that we both agree on.
