Fine Art Camp

Fine Art Camp gives young artists the perfect place to stretch their creativity in an immersive fine art adventure. While living the classic camp vibe artists will have the opportunity to expand their technical skills, build fine art foundations, and explore the world of art history. At ASH Fine Arts there’s always lots of laughing, and silliness to balance out our day and campers are encouraged to socialize often. Select your camp below for more detailed information.

*If you would like to register your student/s for “All Day Camp” be sure to register for both the AM and PM camps. Full day campers have a complementary 60 min. lunch period between 12-1pm, be sure to pack a sack lunch that’s nut free.

Age groups:

5-9 years old, 9- 13 year olds and teen.

Camp Types:

2D Fine Art Camp: Traditional Drawing, painting, printmaking, design, comic, mixed-media, fibers and really any 2 demential art form while using a verity of fine art materials.

3D Fine Art Camp: Traditional sculpture, ceramics, pottery wheel, installation, felting, fibers, carving and really any 3 dementioanl art form while using a verity of fine art materials.

AM camp runs 9am-12pm

Keep your young artists creative and social all summer long!

2D Fine Art Camp: Students will cover a selection of traditional Drawing, painting, printmaking, design, comic, mixed-media, fibers and really any 2 demential art form while using a verity of materials and their own unique creativity. Each camp will finish with 2-5 artworks completed depending on their complexity and depth.

Artists will build their art portfolio over the course of camp and will bring home all of their projects on the last day. This is in an effort to teach the proper way to store and treat artwork. Following each day of camp parents are encouraged to come see what is being created:).

All Camps will have different projects thought the summer. Campers that come to multiple camps will not repeat a project.

What Artist Campers need to bring:

A positive and listening attitude ready for a fun week of camp.
Water for the day and a snack for break time. 2 snacks if they are staying all day.
A sack lunch if they are going to be at camp all day.
Appropriate clothing. Sunscreen if needed and shoes that will serve them well on the walk to and at the park.

What a day at camp looks like:

9am-Welcome artists and work on artwork in the studio.

-Artists take a snack and movement break and River View Park, weather permitting. If we have to stay in we will watch a bit of a G-rated movie with craft and games available.

-Artists continue to work on their masterpieces.

12pm- Artists attending only the AM camp are picked up to go home

-Artist attending the full day of camp have lunch in the studio and enjoy a G-rated movie to decompress. There will also be games and small crafts available.

1pm- Welcome PM camp artists and work on artwork in the studio.

-Artists take a snack and movement break and River View Park, weather permitting. If we have to stay in we will watch a bit of a G-rated movie with craft and games available.

-Artists continue to work on their masterpieces.

4pm- All artists are picked up to go home.

Requirements:

I ask all students do there best to exemplify respect and personal behavior management. If your young artists is working on this, has difficulty sitting for 60-mins or working on building their listening skills this may not be the right time for them to take group classes.

Prior to leaving class I require young students to be physically signed out on the roll sheet. If you wish to forgo signing out your student and prefer I release them to leave on their own then please select to “release without signature” when filling out their information sheet. I will not leave knowing a student has not been picked up, with or without a sign out.

Please always be sure your artist wares appropriate clothing to art class, something that is ok potentially getting stained. If this is a concern I suggest keeping a designated “art shirt” in the car they can put on before class.

POLICIES:

*If you choose to take classes or work with me in any way you are automatically agreeing to these policies.

Please do your best arrive on time and/or be ready to begin at the start time of the class. Please send me a text if you are running late.

Students are to respect the teacher, materials, others, and most of all themselvs. A positive attitude is recommended.

Be patient, learning takes time and every student will progress at their own appropriate speed. Remember, it takes 10,000 hours to become a master at one skill.

I have the right to refuse service to anyone. Please know that I do not accept everyone as a student. Our personalities will need to be compatible and we must have a similar understanding of goals and expectations. Focus is a big factor for acceptance. If the student has trouble maintaining focus for 30- 60 mins, then perhaps, the time may not be right for them. Learning takes courage and drive.

If they’re are any physical or emotional issues, such as self-confidence, depression, ADD, OCD, or neurodiversity, that may hinder you or your student in realizing art goals please share them with me if you feel comfortable, it helps me teach each individual the best way they learn. Please also let me know if you or your student have any dangerous allergies so I can be sure to keep everyone safe.

Please note that on occasion art can make religious connections, and contain nudity. Please understand these topics are treated with respect and maturity in the fine art community and you/ your student will be asked to do the same.

If you choose to work with me you agree to all policies stated here, including making payments when required. You and or your student release Ashley Hale from any liability, including and not limited to, any pre or pro-existing conditions that may hinder or prevent you (or your child’s) physical or emotional, artistic abilities. Additionally, you and your student release Ashley Hale from any responsibility of physical or emotional injury or any damage of property that may occur.

All sales are final. If you let me know you need to cancel early enough I may be able to issue a refund of up to 80%, but this decision is at my discretion. Please email me at ashleyhaleart@gmail.com to discuss your options.
