EACH PARTICIPATING ARTIST MUST REGISTER. $35/Person.

Let’s decorate as a family for the holidays with some self-created ceramics. At this 2-hour workshop family groups get to sculpt up to dozen personalized ornaments from raw clay. Some artists work quickly and others are far more meticulous, so the amount of creation and time needed for each family may depend on that but 2-hours should be plenty of time even for the most dedicated artists ;). Makers are encouraged to use all of their creativity to make something that brings them joy, commemorates a special event or person, and overall make some truly unique holiday creation.

No prior experience needed. Various methods and levels of difficulty for creating will be available, including cookie cutters;). Each sculpture will be underglaze at the event so they are almost fully ready for the kiln by the time you leave. Masterpieces will need to dry for 1-2 weeks before being fired and should be ready for pick up around 12/15. What Workshop Artist need to bring:

A group of project options will be preselected but participating young artists will vote on the creation/s we focus on . This is in an effort to ensure their individual creativity is sparked so they are extra excited to create. This also ensures returning artists are always making coming new and exciting.

What Workshop Artist need to bring:

1. A positive and listening attitude ready for a fun workshop.

2. Water for the duration of the workshop and a snack for break time if they like.

3. Appropriate clothing and shoes that will serve them well.

What a workshop looks like:

Beginning- Welcome artists and work on artwork in the studio.

Middle- Artists take a 15-20min snack and stretch break.

End- Artists continue to work on their masterpieces at the studio.
